ReWork chatbot track & Deep Learning Summit 2016
Last week I was on the conference dedicated to artificial intelligence in London. Even if it wasn’t Microsoft related conference, it was really supercool to see all the different approaches. I was attendee of deep learning track on Thursday and chatbots Friday. On Thursday, there were many speakers from different universities and companies and many many theory was presented there. There were discussed separate approaches like Neural Networks, Human Learning, Deep Learning and separate possible use cases and usability’s of those researches. On the second day, there were more specific business cases from separate areas like human resources, police academy, pharma etc.
Even if this area of artificial intelligence and chatbots is still in the evolution beginning, some concepts are really huge! Trust me. Learning possibilities of artificial intelligence are wonderful right now. Of course, there is a need to spend some amount of time because of learning – bots are like children after implementation, so they have to learn, how to react, which information should be gotten and answered etc.
Most from the second day related to business concepts was for me potential in pharma related to analyzing chatbot – symptoms of some illness etc. This company spend (by the words of the speaker) for over the year with 4 full time doctors and many developers to create unique data source and chatbot, which ask you for many questions and then answer you with some conclusion. Nice scenario, when I realize how many people are scared of doctors or just don’t want to go to doctors and buy books like home doctor etc. This chatbot explain everything to you, sent you all the links for causes of illness, explanation of all the important terms etc. Really nice. Another most usable scenarios for me at these days are human resources area and possibilities of helping to recruiters in communication with external job agencies (just write – I need developer, chatbot will ask you for specific details, then he will automatically send you most popular candidates), human resources – internal support chatbot friend in enterprise (which documents are important, what to do, where is everything on the intranet and other systems, etc.) and of course service desk for incidents and requests for information 😉
Those are the areas with highest potential for me. If I will look at money spending, these are also the areas with biggest potential of automation with combination with already mentioned chatbots.
As conclusion – very interesting summit, a lot of interesting concepts and information…
